Nicholas Detmer is a Managing Director and Oxford Investment Fellow® with Oxford Financial Group, Ltd. As a member of the Regent Street team, Nick is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, executing and monitoring primary fund commitments and coinvestments and for working with colleagues to manage Oxford’s Regent Street Partners funds and Co-Investment funds.
Prior to joining Oxford, Nick worked as a Managing Director at Aksia, where he served as an alternatives-focused investment consultant to several large institutional investors. Earlier, he spent nearly a decade serving in a variety of investment and team leadership positions for the Indiana Public Retirement System, including roles as Deputy Chief Investment Officer, Director of Private Equity and Director of Fixed Income & Credit.
Nick holds a Master of Business Administration with Distinction in Finance and Entrepreneurship & Innovation from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics with Highest Distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a Morehead-Cain Scholar. Nick is a Chartered Financial Analyst® charterholder as well as a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst charterholder.
Nick lives in Carmel, Indiana with his wife and son. Outside of work, Nick enjoys playing ice hockey and working on his chess game.
