About Christopher B. Gioia
Chris Gioia is a Managing Director at Oxford Financial Group, Ltd., where he leverages his extensive investment experience across asset classes to help multi-generational families and business owners navigate the complexities of wealth. Chris focuses on deeply understanding each client’s needs, goals and values—translating them into a comprehensive plan developed in close collaboration with Oxford’s Family Office Services and Investment teams.
Prior to Oxford, Chris worked within a single-family office, giving him firsthand insight into the nuanced needs, dynamics and aspirations of multi-generational families. This perspective informs his commitment to building enduring client relationships and delivering strategies that align wealth with purpose, preserve legacy and create clarity across generations.
Chris began his career in the Investment Banking Division at Cowen and Company, where he advised business owners in the Aerospace and Defense sector on mergers, acquisitions and capital raising strategies. He spent over a decade in New York, primarily on the buy-side. At Ramius LLC—and later at ArmaVir Partners, a firm he co-founded with former Ramius colleagues—Chris focused on direct private equity and growth equity investments across a range of industries.
Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Princeton University.
A native of Nashville, Tennessee, he now resides in West Palm Beach with his wife, Liza, and their two children. In his free time, Chris enjoys tennis, golf, traveling, staying active and spending time with his family.
