Jeff Thomasson is the CEO and a Managing Director of Oxford Financial Group, Ltd., which he founded in 1981.
Jeff’s primary focus is the continued success of Oxford. His time and expertise are devoted to the coordination and overall strategic direction of Oxford, and serving individual family clients’ toward achievement of their comprehensive financial and investment planning goals through tailored solutions.
Oxford has grown to become one of the nation’s leading independent, fee-only wealth management firms. Oxford handles over $20 billion in assets (which includes assets under management) for business owners, physicians, select institutions and others of affluence throughout the Midwest and 37 states. The firm has offices in five Midwestern states, 13 partners and approximately 150 colleagues who work with clients in need of multi-generational estate planning or investment consulting. Jeff is a member of the World Presidents’ Organization and Chief Executives’ Organization, and on the board of Ontario Systems in Muncie, Indiana and numerous family foundations. Previously, he served on the boards of Parkway Company, Pay Link Payment Plans of Chicago, Illinois, Leadership Network of Dallas, Texas, Union Federal Bank, Indiana Bancshares, Waterfield Mortgage Corporation, Flight Options, Syndicate Systems, The Hudson Institute, Park Tudor School, Indiana Repertory Theatre and the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.
Involved in numerous private foundations, Jeff thoroughly enjoys philanthropy. Through the Thomasson Foundation, Jeff and his wife, Benita, have awarded hundreds of scholarships to deserving students who are children of missionary families around the world and an annual entrepreneurial scholarship to a graduating Zionsville High School senior in honor of Lloyd and Jane Taylor through the Boone County Community Foundation. Benita has a BS/MA in Education and graduated from Indiana University School of Philanthropy. Jeff and Benita have two children, Brittany Pittman and Elliott Thomasson. Brittany attended Emory University and is a nurse practitioner. Elliott graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and works for a large private equity firm in London.
